Race Day June 14th 2008

Pink goes Green!
Last year the Alaska Run for Women began its run to go GREEN.

• We added recycle bins throughout the stadium on race day and

• We exchanged the plastic goodie bags as we introduced the first annual “Commemorative Race Booklet”

This year we have even more GREEN ideas which will surely have you seeing Pink at the finish line.

• We will not be printing or distributing the 15,000 applications we print each year AND

• We will no longer have a processing fee when registering online – allowing your GREEN donations to go further towards breast cancer education, outreach and research

Please return your 2007 chips ASAP

The cost is $35 per non-returned chip. You can drop it off at The Sport Shop at 570 E. Benson Blvd. or mail it to the following address. If mailing, please wrap your chip in bubble wrap or newspaper so that it won't be lost or damaged en route.

Raffle Tickets ready for purchase!
It's a new year and a new raffle. We have some GREAT prizes this year, a new price structure, and we're printing fewer tickets. With only 5,000 tickets printed, the odds have never been better.

Grand Prize 1 - Alaska Airlines trip for two to Honolulu
plus air fare for two to Maui and a five night stay at Ho'oilo House

Grand Prize 2 - Royal Caribbean Cruise (7 night) for two with airfare to the Florida departure port

Ticket prices this year are $10 each or 3 tickets for $25.

Checks can be written to "Alaska Run for Women". The drawing will be at the awards ceremony on Race Day, June 14, 2008. You do not need to be present to win. Raffle permit #1989. As always, all the proceeds from tickets sales go directly to the fight against breast cancer.
