An elite corral is reserved for runners who completed the 2011 Alaska Run for Women in 35:35 or better (pace 7:07/mile). Runners with elite status will enter the starting area via the 1-mile corral and be escorted to the starting line after the 1-mile race is underway. Runners who did not participate in the 2011 event can email run@akrfw.org with documented race results to petition for access to the elite corral.

Chip timing
Attach the timing chip to your shoe if participating in the 5-mile timed event or no time will be recorded. Keep the chip as a souvenir or drop it in a recycling bucket at the finish line.

Baby Strollers/Joggers/Roller Blades/Pets
Safety and insurance issues require that those participating with a baby stroller or jogger must walk the course. NO RUNNING. Baby strollers and joggers must line up behind all runners at both the 5-mile and 1-mile starts. The baby stroller/jogger is a non-competitive event. For the 5-mile event, all baby strollers/joggers will start in the 5-mile untimed party wave at 9:10 a.m.

No roller blades, wagons or pets allowed.

Rules of the Road for All Participants
1.
Course marshals have the authority to remove any participant in violation of the rules of the event.

2. Race bibs must be worn on the front and be clearly visible at all times on the course.

3. All participants must follow the measured, designated course.

4. Do not short cut through parking lots, alleys or grass areas along the bike trail or you will be disqualified.

Teams
A group of five or more individuals may register as a team. Individuals should register but indicate their team name on the registration form. Each team member picks up her own bib.  For more on teams, go to the teams page.
