Volunteers

The Alaska Run for Women Committee is pleased to be celebrating its 14th year of the run. This event has raised more than $2 million dollars since 1993, all going to support the fight against breast cancer.  We’d like to thank those who have volunteered before, without your support the run would not have been a success.  We are very excited for this year’s event and hope that you will be able to help us put on this exciting event!

Our volunteers are what make this event a success. Hundreds of volunteers are needed for both pre-race and race day activities, including bundling and distributing race day applications and posters, stuffing race packets, registration of runners, data entry, timing and compiling results direct runners on the course and at the finish line, passing out water, food preparation, set-up, take-down, clean-up, balloon arch coordination, decorations helping with the stroller walk, and much more.
