Days to Race356
The Alaska Run for Women is 30 this year and we are delighted to be back with an in-person event, but we know that not everyone is ready for an in-person Run or will be in Alaska, so we will have a virtual race week again and it will culminate with our traditional race that we have missed so much.
What has not changed is our commitment to uniting women in Alaska and the Lower 48 to beat breast cancer. Because of the generosity of participants and donors, the virtual 2021 event raised more than $200,000 for breast cancer research, prevention and early detection programs. Since 1993, our event has raised more than $5.3 million.
Each step you take, each dollar raised, brings us closer to a cure.
One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, and to show our support we are celebrating in a variety of fun ways for 8 days from June 4-11!
A 5-mile or 1-mile race that you can run or walk from any location you choose at any time during the event week of June 4-11, 2022. Your choice, your time, your race. Run in Alaska and invite family and friends from across the U.S. to register and join you!
On a trail, a treadmill, a track or wherever you choose. Follow local and state mandates and guidelines in place at the time of the event and follow all AKRFW safety rules.
The run/walk is untimed, and all levels of walkers, runners and joggers are welcome.
This is your event. Set your own goal and go out and accomplish it. Complete the distance in one segment or break it up into multiple segments.
Your registration comes with a downloadable bib and back tags that you can wear on the day you participate.
